Based on the notification of the authorities of the City of Skopje, in line with the law on the names of the streets, squares, bridges and other infrastructural objects, the organs of the state administration which until now have been numerated with letters (bb), have received new numeration. Hence, as of March 15, 2012, the address of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information is “Angel Dimovski” 8 ("Goce Delchev" Barracks), 1000 Skopje. The other contact data remain unchanged.

Skopje, 13-14 March 2012

On 13-14 March 2012 in Skopje the workshop was held on the “Criteria, Measures and Standards on the Physical Protection of Classified Information in the state organs, public enterprises and private companies”. The workshop was organized in cooperation with the European Commission from Brussels, within the framework of the TAIEX instrument.

Chair of the workshop was the Director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information, while presenters were experts of the National Security Authorities of the Kingdom of Spain, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Hungary and the Republic of Cyprus: Mr. Javier Lougedo Calderon, Mgr. Peter Grebáč, Ms. Zsófia Szabó and Mr. Ilias Chatzikoumis.

Skopje, 5-6 March, 2012

Upon invitation of the head of the delegation of the Republic of Macedonia for negotiating agreements on exchange of classified information on bilateral basis with other states, the Director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information, a delegation of the Office of the Council for National Security and Classified Information Protection of the Republic of Serbia, led by Mr. Goran Matic, Director, visited Skopje on 5-6 March 2012. The aim of the visit was harmonization of the text of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on Exchange and Mutual Protection of Classified Information. The negotiations, which resulted in agreed text of the agreement, were held in very constructive and friendly atmosphere.

Upon request of the Italian delegation, the second round of the bilateral negotiations between the delegations of the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Italy for entering into an agreement on exchange and mutual protection of classified information, scheduled to be held in the period from 20 to 22 February 2012 in Skopje, will be held in April 2012. The date will be determined additionally.

Skopje, 5-7 March 2012

On 5-7 March 2012 in Skopje, a meeting will be held between the delegations of the Republic of Macedonia and of the Republic of Serbia for negotiating the agreement on exchange and mutual protection of classified information.
The bilateral negotiations for harmonizing the text of the agreement will be initiated at this meeting.

Skopje, 20-22 February 2012

Upon the invitation by the head of the delegation of the Republic of Macedonia for negotiating bilateral agreements for exchange of classified information with other states, the second round of the bilateral negotiations for entering into an agreement on exchange and mutual protection of classified information between the governments of the Republic of Macedonia and the Italian Rеpublic will be held in the period from 20 to 22 February 2012 in Skopje. The negotiations on the final text of the agreement are expected to be finalized during this round of negotiations, after which the procedure for approval of the text by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia will follow.

Warsaw, 6-8 November 2011

Upon the invitation of the National Security Authority of the Republic of Poland, the Director of the directorate for Security of Classified Information will attend the V4 Conference within the “Classified Information Training Initiative” to be held on 6-8 November 2011.

20-21 September 2011, Rome

As a result of the initiative of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information and upon the invitation of the National Security Authority of the Italian Republic, the first round of the negotiations for harmonization of the text of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and the Government of the Italian Republic on Exchange and Mutual Protection of Classified Information was held on 20-21 September 2011 in Rome. The negotiations, which resulted in agreed first version of the text of the agreement, were held in constructive atmosphere during which the two services exchanged their experiences related to the protection of classified information.

The two parties assessed that it was necessary to finalize the negotiations and to sign the agreement as soon as possible, since that would be particularly beneficial from the aspect of the industrial security, due to the increased number of Italian legal entities which wish to participate in classified tenders in the Republic of Macedonia. As a result, the two parties agreed to have the second round of negotiations in Skopje at the beginning of 2012.

12-15 September 2011, Ohrid

The High Level Conference: Europe’s Security Policy – Diplomacy, Defence and Development took place on 12-15 September 2011 in Ohrid. The conference was held within the framework of the CSDP Training Program 2001 for the Stabilization and Association Process countries, in co-organization of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information and the European Security and Defence College (ESDC). Being one of the program initiators, Austria was the twinning partner for this event.

Representatives from Austria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Germany, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia participated in the conference. They were welcomed by Mr. Jovan Andonovski, State Advisor at the Secretariat for European Issues of the Republic of Macedonia and Major General Johann Pucher, Director of the Directorate for Security Policy at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence and Sports. Dr. Werner Fasslabend, Former Austrian Minister of Defence, was the key-note speaker at the conference.

The work at the conference was divided in several panels moderated by the Director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information and Dr. Jochen Rehrl, Austrian Representative in the ESDC Steering Committee and Head of Unit within the Directorate for Security Policy at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defence and Sports.

The panel on European-Integration - CFSP/CSDP aspects included the addresses by Dr. Ivica Josifovic, Professor at the FON University, Law Faculty, Ms. Ines Troha-Brdar, Head of the Department for CFSP and CSDP at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and Mr. Philipp Agathonos, Expert on CSDP at the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs.
